Russell Brand’s ex tells Life & Style Katy Perry should be wary of the comedian
British comedian Russell Brand held court as host of the MTV Video Music Awards on Sept. 13, but he only had eyes for one lady in the audience: singer Katy Perry, 25. The duo cozied up at a VMA afterparty at NYC’s Avenue nightclub and have been going strong ever since, vacationing in Thailand and attending Paris Fashion Week shows. It’s gotten so serious, Russell himself admitted, “I think I’m in love.” But one woman isn’t buying it. Russell’s ex Georgina Baillie, a singer, actress and dancer, tells Life & Style in an exclusive interview that Katy should watch out for Russell’s playboy ways. “Everyone knows you don’t date Russell Brand seriously,” says Georgina, 24, who was introduced to Russell, 34, in late 2006 and continued seeing him casually for two years.
“I think Russell likes the idea of having a serious relationship, but when you’ve got all these different flavors of ice cream offered to you on a plate, you’re not going to stick with vanilla, are you?” Georgina tells Life & Style. “From the Russell I knew, I don’t think he’s capable of monogamy. I was part of his conveyer belt of women coming through his door. If you go to one of those famous bars or clubs in London, every second girl in there knows what Russell is like in bed — from personal experience.” Georgina’s issuing her own warning to Katy: “Have an awesome time, which I’m sure you are having, but be careful.” In the end, she says, “Katy’s on the course to having her heart broken if he hasn’t changed. I hope he has.”
