Brandon Flowers has become a father for the second time.

The Killers rocker and his wife Tana welcomed their second son Gunner into the world , and mother and baby are both doing well.

Brandon confirmed the new arrival during an interview with a radio show, saying: “We’re both delighted. We decided on the name because Gunner is tough. I had to have something that combats against the Flowers.”

Brandon and Tana, who have been married for four years, already have two-year-old Ammon together.

The 28-year-old musician has previously revealed he loved witnessing the birth of his first child, as it triggered his paternal instincts.

He explained: “It was wonderful attending the birth. They say a man doesn't become a father until the baby is born, whereas a woman is a mother as soon as she's pregnant. I guess that is true.

"I was sympathetic to my wife and excited about having a baby, but it didn't hit me until he was born. That was the greatest day of my life."
