For a while after that horrific beating, it was really questionable whether Rihanna would be able to move on with her life or get swept up in the tearful remorse of the batterer. She is, after all, just 21. The spin was that Chris was her first serious boyfriend, so that she wouldn't tarnish her image. Maybe he was, maybe he wasn't.

The Daily Mail has photos of Rihanna on the beach with her high school sweetheart (or "teenager love", or whatever they called it). Any doubts that Rihanna has left the punk ass loser for good would be obliterated once you look at her expression, her posture, and the way he seems to dote on her. I could be reading more into this than there actually is; that's OK. I hope that punk ass is sitting somewhere cold and damp reading about it, though, and sees her looking happy and healthy and totally unconcerned with the felony charges he's still got hanging over his head.
