Amy Winehouse’s dad is flying out to St. Lucia to visit her.
Mitch Winehouse is so concerned about his troubled daughter – who has been
stunned by claims her estranged husband Blake Fielder-Civil is expecting a
baby with another woman and this week seriously burned herself while cooking
pasta – he has dashed out to the Caribbean island, where she is currently on
holiday.
A source said: “He’s concerned about Amy, but then he always is.
“Although she’s taking more care of herself, there are still things going on
which are troubling him.”
While Mitch is worried about the effect Blake’s alleged infidelity is having
on the ‘Rehab’ star, her mother Janis believes it is the best thing that
could have happened.
She said: "Amy needs to be hurt by him, in order to see him for what he
really is.
"In a way this will be good for her as it will open up her eyes. I just hope
this revelation helps to get the divorce moving."
Amy, 25, is looking to buy a house on the Caribbean island – where she spent
three months on holiday at the beginning of this year – to find peace to
record her long-awaited third album after struggling to break free of the
temptations of the London party scene.
