Estelle has quashed rumours of a feud with Duffy and Adele.
The British singer was delighted her pop compatriots - who she has
previously criticised as "not soul" - won Grammy awards last week, denying
there is any animosity between them.
Estelle, 29, said: "I presented Adele with her Best New Artist award and I'd
have refused to do that if I didn't like her! Everyone was hoping for a big
moment between us but we hugged.
"I don't agree with her and Duffy being called soul singers but that's my
opinion. On a personal level, I think they're great."
Estelle picked up the award for Best Rap/Sung Collaboration for her track
'American Boy' which she also performed at the event, alongside Kanye West.
Duffy won the Grammy for Best Pop Vocal Album for her debut 'Rockferry'.
Despite her victory, Estelle was star-struck at the glitzy event, and was
amazed by how many A-list celebrities recognised her.
She added to Britain's Hello! Magazine: "I was sitting in the front row near
Nicole Kidman, Keith Urban, Sir Paul McCartney and all these celebrities.
Every time I turned around one would look at me and give me a nod. It was
like, 'Oh God! I'll keep looking forward.'
"Coldplay and Paul McCartney gave me a wink and a smile! It was beautiful.
Just amazing."
