Leonardo DiCaprio calls reuniting with Kate Winslet on new movie ‘Revolutionary Road’ a “coming of age party”
Leonardo DiCaprio says reuniting with Kate Winslet on new movie
‘Revolutionary Road’ was like a “coming of age party”.
The 34-year-old actor – who first starred alongside Kate in 1997 disaster
movie ‘Titanic’ – loved working with the 33-year-old beauty again on the 50s
drama.
Leonardo, who also shares a scene with ‘Titanic’ co-star Kathy Bates in
‘Revolutionary Road’, said: “To have her there was kind of reassuring and
nice. To have the three of us together it was kind of like a neat coming of
age party. It's been 12 years since 'Titanic'."
Kate also revealed she found it “strange” when her director husband Sam
Mendes, who helmed the movie, told her how to make her sex scenes with
Leonardo more realistic.
She told US TV show ‘Entertainment Tonight’: “I did feel weird about it but
you get over that quickly. You really have to. Sam really treated me like
the actress playing the character of April Wheeler.
“During one of the sex scenes, Sam would sort of yell from the other room,
'No, Leo really grab her thigh! Really grab her thigh!' I thought, 'This is
really strange, but I'm going to go with it!' ”
