CringeWorthy: The Jackson 4 Just Doesn't Sound Right
|
It's no wonder that Michael Jackson has chosen to distance himself from the rest of his siblings. He's had to support most of his family his entire life. That was easy 20 years ago, when he was the King of Pop. But now he's not, and reportedly has cash flow issues. Jermaine apparently hasn't gotten that memo, or he's too desperate to give it up. Jermaine has done his best to launch his own career. He's gone through countless half-baked schemes and proposed endless development deals. Nobody's biting. Nor have they ever. He should be used to it by now, but apparently has a certain lifestyle to which he's become accustomed - that of one who isn't ashamed to trade on a sibling's fame and hard work. Didn't matter if it was Michael or Janet, as long as his bills were paid. Janet wised up and stepped away years ago, and even though she's having trouble now, she's been relatively unplagued by her brother's shameless famewhoring. Michael was different, and preferred to just give him money to shut him up. But now the money's gone, and Jermaine's been told to get another revenue source. He has no talent, no skills, and is generally unlikeable. So what does he do? He takes a page from the Lohan playbook, and announces a family reunion tour. Again. He even claimed that Janet would be the opening act and that Michael was "fully on board". Unfortunately for Jermaine, Michael finally found the nerve to speak up. He released a statement stating, "My brothers and sisters have my full love and support, and we've certainly shared many great experiences, but, at this time, I have no plans to record or tour with them. I am now in the studio developing new and exciting projects that I look forward to sharing with my fans in concert soon." Poor Jermaine. He'll never get that country estate in Devonshire at this rate, but maybe if he keep selling stories to the tabloids he can keep his mother's house out of foreclosure. |
