Sean Bean hoping to become a father again soon
Lord of the Rings’ actor Sean Bean hoping to become a father again soon.
Sean – who married fourth wife Georgina Sutcliffe in February – has denied
rumours the couple’s relationship was in trouble and says they are trying
for a baby.
The 49-year-old actor insists his three older daughters from previous
marriages can help out with any new arrival, saying: “The older ones can
babysit. But only if I can get them because they are always out on a
Saturday night. That would be handy.”
Sean’s marriage has so far proved tumultuous.
In July, he was briefly arrested after Georgina accused him of assault, but
she quickly asked police to drop the charges.
Sean has also spoke of his love for his longest-running role, as Sharpe – a
fictional British officer in the Napoleonic wars – which he will reprise in
the India-set British TV show ‘Sharpe’s Peril’.
Sean added to the Radio Times magazine: “When the series appeared to have
come to an end in 1997, I kept Sharpe’s uniform and sword in a wardrobe at
home, vaguely hoping we’d go again.
“So when ‘Sharpe’s Challenge’ got the go-ahead in 2006, I could have popped
onto a plane to India in an instant. Though whether I’d have got that sword
through customs is another matter!”
