One thing The National Enquirer cannot be accused of is partisanship: They were equally happy to tear down Lyin' John Edwards' house of cards, even though his wife is so ill and probably could have done without knowing her suspicions about her frequently absent husband were accurate. Those same suspicions may well have crossed Todd Palin's mind, if you believe Enquirer's story.
And why shouldn't we? From all indications, this woman does not keep a tidy house, except for around the tanning bed. Her two oldest children are well-known as heavy partiers in their hometown, with oldest son Track said to have joined the military to clean up his act. Sadly, little sister Bristol chose another path, that of motherhood, to get off the streets. And now she (in)famous.
Sarah Palin made the Enquirer's job easy. Her Troopergate scandal reeks of an amateur drunk with power and feeling above the law. Her radically conservative views and eagerness to hunt and slaughter - in the cruelest way possible - might make her a good soldier but wouldn't make me comfortable if she inherits the throne.

Yes, Sarah Palin creeps me out. She is not the epitome of a strong, modern professional woman and mother. She has all too quickly jumped at the brass ring, eager to transform her image as a backwoods nobody into a place in history of which she simply is not worthy. This is our first woman Vice Presidential candidate? Lipstick, Armani, and an army of stylists don't change the person she is, and she is not what this country is looking for.
