Like this was any surprise. Jennifer Aniston and John Mayer really had nothing in common. He's content with playing the field; she's desperate to marry and wed before the golden family reaches double digits. What really happened? Some theories after the jump.

The most benign (and least believable) version came from People, who said "they are just in different places right now." Um, yeah. No kidding.

London's Mirror quoted insiders that claim John broke things off because he wasn't willing to give Jen the commitment she was looking for or curb his touring schedule. There's an air of truth to that; everyone knows she'll do almost anything to get married and start churning out offspring as fast as she can.

The most plausible reason, though, came from the Chicago Sun-Times, who say Jen was the one who dumped John because of his wandering eye ... and nether regions. They allege Mayer was caught cheating three times - with a cocktail waitress, a promoter's assistant and a groupie - and Jen felt she had no choice but to give him his walking papers.

Whatever the reason, Jen isn't wallowing in self-pity or pining away on the beach cranking her ex's CD's. Rather she's been seen stepping out with another one of those pretty boy models - you know, like Paul Sculfor - that I hear she pays to keep her company. The new rent boy is pictured below - I think his name is Matt but I'm not sure. By the look of his vacant stare, I doubt he knows his name either.
