Mel Gibson to star in ‘Edge of Darkness’.

The 52-year-old actor will play a police investigator in the big-screen
adaptation of the 1985 TV mini-series, which was broadcast on the BBC.
It is Gibson’s first starring role since 2002 movies ‘Signs’ and ‘We Were
Soldiers’. He then directed 2004’s ‘The Passion of the Christ’ and
‘Apocalypto’ in 2006.
In the movie, Gibson’s character uncovers systemic corruption while
investigating the death of his activist daughter.
