Victoria Beckham threw her mother a lavish 60th birthday party.
The Spice Girl - who arrived with her bodyguard and driver wearing a white
embodied dress and fake fur wrap - hired a private room at London's
exclusive Claridge's hotel for the daytime bash, where guests enjoyed food
prepared by chef Gordon Ramsay's restaurant and pink champagne.
One source said: "Victoria arrived just after midday to make sure everything
was perfect.
"The group got through a least five bottles of Laurent Perrier pink
champagne, which costs £85 a bottle. Money was obviously no object. Victoria
really wanted to spoil her mother and her friends."
Victoria's sister Louise, her father Tony and her soccer star husband
David's mother Sandra all helped Jackie celebrate reaching the landmark age.
A steady stream of guests arrived throughout the day all bearing gifts, and
at about 3pm the cake was cut and handed out.
The source added to Britain's Daily Mirror newspaper: "Victoria could really
relax and enjoy herself because she knew all the guests. She really let her
hair down and Jackie looked like she was having a great time as well."
However, David could not make the party because he was 4,000 miles away
playing for his soccer team Los Angeles Galaxy in the US.
