Lily Allen is being treated at a London clinic for depression.
The 22-year-old singer was heartbroken after suffering a miscarriage in
January and then splitting from the father, Chemical Brothers star Ed
Simons, and has now decided to seek professional help at a top facility.
A friend told Britain’s The Sun newspaper: "The last couple of months have
been really hard for Lily. She was so happy to be pregnant and was willing
to give up her showbiz life to settle down and have a family.
"Her miscarriage was a huge blow and she hasn't really recovered. She has
tried to put on a brave face but she found she needed to get some profession
help."
Lily, who recently admitted she feels "sad and lonely", is said to be slowly
coming out of her black hole thanks to the treatment.
The pal added: "She is responding well and is pleased she is being allowed
to film her TV chat show 'Lily Allen and Friends' and to keep in touch with
the friends supporting her."
