Kiefer Sutherland has pleaded no contest to misdemeanor drunk-driving .

As part of his deal, Kiefer agreed to serve 30 days for driving while under the influence and 18 days for violating his probation for a 2004 drunken driving case. He also has to enroll in an 18-month alcohol-education class and attend weekly alcohol-therapy sessions for six months. Kiefer starts serving his jail sentence on December 21, TMZ reports.
"I'm very disappointed in myself for the poor judgment I exhibited recently," he said in a statement, "and I'm deeply sorry for the disappointment and distress this has caused my family, friends and co-workers on 24 and at 20th Century Fox."
