Britney Spears' former bodyguard Tony Barretto files a "Child Abuse Referral"

Britney Spears' former bodyguard Tony Barretto has filed a "Child Abuse Referral" against his old employer, US reports

The referral gives the Department of Child and Family Services the legal power to investigate Spears' care of sons Sean Preston, 2, and Jayden James, 1. According to Barretto and his lawyer, the DCFS has said that they will look into the matter.

"I call on Britney Spears to cooperate with the investigation of Children and Family Services," Tony Barretto's lawyer said in her statement. "As part of their investigation they will want to interview her. Rather than avoiding them she should speak with them as soon as possible and give them the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth, so that they can fulfill their legal mandate to protect the children and keep them safe."
