Kid Rock talks about VMA fight
|
One of the biggest stories coming from last week's MTV Video Music Awards did even happen on air. Kid Rock and Tommy Lee got into a brawl during a commercial break. And while Tommy has been blogging about the fight, Kid Rock hadn't said much until Thursday morning when he was interviewed on the Rock 103.5 morning radio show. Referring to Lee's blog about the incident, Rock said, "I don't talk. And he's doing what he does best, he's talking. I mean this is what stars all seem to be doing. And I really can't say a lot about it, my attorneys told me not to obviously, but I think there's enough eyewitnesses there to say what happened and of course he has a different story which makes perfect sense." Rock also gave a little context to why he punched Lee Sunday night. He said, "Well there's a lot of history there, obviously. It's just a lot of mouth talking, a lot being extremely disrespectful for a long time…When I came back from the bathroom he's pretty much sitting in my seat, I'm like that's it…Bitch Slap, Pow." When asked by Rock 103.5 if Lee and Rock had been arguing prior to the punch, Rock said, "Yea, it's been going on for 5 years. I did what any man would do, any man across the country, across the world would do…Last contact I had with this loser, was when me and Pam [Anderson] were going through our divorce he picks up her email and starts emailing me how much of a bitch I am, and this that and the other, and I calmly told him, I said, 'Listen I will see you again,' I said, 'You know this has nothing to do with you,' and that was the end of it because I don't talk, you know. He used her blackberry. It just starts going off, like he's king…It's always something it's always an excuse. And this would be a great opportunity for him to go, 'You know what, I did run my mouth, I'm going to be a man about it, take my lumps, and now I'm gonna shut up and it's over,' but I'm sure he's not that smart. Rock denied that the fight had anything to do with his and Tommy's shared ex-wife, Pamela Anderson. "It has the farthest thing to do from that," he said. "That was probably the best thing I ever did was get out of that the day I filed from divorce…it had zero to do with her. Of course she'll tell everyone she was the victim in it, like always. 'I'm the victim, I'm the victim!'" |
