Egads! Remember when Justine Bateman was pretty? Granted it was about 20 years ago, but still. That must be what her brother looks like after going on a three-day bender and waking up in the midst of an Amish quilting bee.

Maybe she wore this as a dare or she's past due with the stylist. And the hairdresser. And the make-up artist. Maybe she's just down on her luck and had to borrow a dress from her grandmother.

Is Justine working these days? I haven't seen her in anything but reruns for years. Perhaps she's doing stage work. That whole effect kind of has a bit of a MacBethian flair to it, doesn't it?

Women with short hair should never try pigtails - it makes them look like they ride the short bus. Justine needs to let Grandma bury that dress again and hit The Gap, Kitson's, even the dollar store. Whatever it takes, as long as she leaves the crazy quilt dress in the ground where it belongs.
