Rebecca Romijn and Jerry O'Connell's western-style wedding
She may star in "Ugly Betty" but Rebecca Romijn lived up to her model past when she wed Jerry O'Connell, her fiancé of nearly two years, on Saturday at their Calabasas ranch. Despite the 100 degree heat, the new Mrs. O'Connell looked breathtaking in a white lace Ralph Lauren gown and jewelry by Neil Lane.
The event was casual, as apparent from O'Connell's khaki suit, though the couple's dogs were in black tie. One hundred guests, including Jerry's brother Charlie - known for his stint on "The Bachelor" - drank lemonade and enjoyed appetizers from Savore Cuisine prior to the ceremony. As the wedding party walked down the aisle, a gospel choir sang Foreigner's "I Want to Know What Love Is." The wedding was performed by a female officiant and Rebecca and Jerry exchanged vows under a tree draped with flowers. After the 15 minute ceremony ended, the newlyweds skipped away as the choir performed Milk and Sugar's "Sunshine." The reception had a western theme with barbecue and picnic tables. Also decorating the couple's yard were wagon wheels and seats made from hay bales, reports Us Weekly. Romijn told People magazine, "It was a perfect celebration and Jerry and I couldn't be happier." |
