Lindsay Lohan arrested for DUI, cocaine possession

PEOPLE magazine reports on Lindsay Lohan's arrest.

According to PEOPLE unnamed police sources saying the actress, 21, was found with cocaine in her possession. Lohan's blood alcohol level was between .12 and .13 – exceeding the legal limit of .08, TMZ reports.

After her bail was set at $25,000, Lohan was released later Tuesday morning, according to TMZ, which said law enforcement officials found her cooperative.

Lohan – who has been wearing an alcohol monitoring bracelet – was picked up around 2:15 a.m. on Main Street, near the Santa Monica Police Department, and booked on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol and of driving with a suspended license, says Sgt. Robert Hernandez, reports the City News Service.

Hernandez added that two passengers were in the car with Lohan and that they were released. He did not identify the others.

Sgt. Shane Talbot tells the AP that the cocaine was found in Lohan's pocket during a pre-booking search.

Contacted by PEOPLE, Lohan's publicist, Leslie Sloane, said, "No comment."

Last week Lohan quietly surrendered and was formally booked on misdemeanor charges of DUI and hit-and-run stemming from a car crash last May.

Only 11 days ago she completed a six-week stint in rehab at Promises, a treatment center in Malibu.
