The Gossip singer Beth Ditto wants to record a duet with Kate Moss.

The plus-sized rocker met the supermodel at one of her US shows earlier this
year and the pair struck up an instant friendship and went out clubbing.

Beth is now keen to drag music lover Kate - who has previously dueted with
Primal Scream on their track 'Some Velvet Morning' - into the studio.

She said: "I'd consider doing a duet with her if the song was right. The
night we went out we sang a lot."

The 'Standing In The Way Of Control' singer has also revealed she is wary of
the catwalk beauty's Babyshambles frontman boyfriend Pete Doherty.
She added: "I'm scared of her boyfriend."

Beth - who is 5ft and weighs around 15 stone (210lbs) - recently praised
super slim Kate for understanding what it's like for women to be persecuted
for being large.

She said: "Kate said the most amazing things about bodies to me. I didn't
think I was going to like her, but she said, 'Do you know what I hate, Beth?
When people tell my big girlfriends, 'You have a beautiful face.' That's a
really radical concept."

Meanwhile, Ditto says gay men in the fashion industry are to blame for the worrying size zero trend.

Beth tells NME magazine: "If there's anyone to blame for size zero, it's not women. Blame gay men who work in the fashion industry and want these women as dolls.

"Men don't know what it feels like to be a woman and be expected to look a particular way. The Beckhams are part of the machine, Paris Hilton is part of the machine.

"There's that thing Paris Hilton said about Lindsay Lohan, 'You're poor, ugly and fat.' It's always women who are victims."
