Poor Britney Spears Booed

Troubled pop beauty, Britney Spears enjoyed a whirlwind shopping spree in Miami on Sunday (20.05.07).

The singer opted for some retail therapy just 10 minutes after checking in to the Four Seasons Hotel before her performance at Miami's Mansion nightclub.

Britney and a group of friends hit the shops in South Beach and their first stop was a 15-minute visit to No Lines Tanning reports Female First UK.

The 'Toxic' singer then treated herself to some Guess? jeans, tops and shorts.
A source told People magazine: "She bought quite a few things. She left out the back of the store - she seemed happy."

Britney also tried on several corsets and mini-skirts at The Mosh Pit and was happy to browse around the store with other shoppers.

The source added: "They asked if she wanted the store closed, and Britney told them she was OK and not to worry about it. She tried on several micro-mini skirts and bought a $180 hand-painted pink corset by Kimikal. She liked it, bought it and wore it out of the store."

Britney then dashed to Mansion for a 7pm sound check and left the club at 9pm for some last-minute shopping.

The 25-year-old splashed out more than $1,500 on dresses, shoes, belts and accessories at The Atrium Miami Beach.

Meanwhile, her Mansion performance failed to impress some audience members at the weekend.

A source told the New York Post newspaper: "The crowd sneered at Britney's hideous white go-go boots and ratty hair extensions."

Madonna's brother Christopher Ciccone was particularly scathing of Britney's outfit choice.

He reportedly said: "My sister would never go onstage looking like that."

Just days before, Britney Spears performed her fifth "live" show Saturday night in Orlando with tons of technical difficulties.

Spears performed a 14-minute set before a sold-out crowd at the House of Blues Orlando in Lake Buena Vista, Fla.

With the crowd chanting "Britney! Britney! Britney," a blonde Spears, clad in a hot-pink bustier top, a pleated white micro-mini and torn fishnet stockings, took the stage with her backup dancers at 9:31 p.m. to the music of "...Baby One More Time."

Spears was lip-synching a medley of older hits when she experience a glitch: at one point the background track skipped, forcing Spears to improvise by turning her head away from the audience as the song got back on track.

According to sources spilling to PerezHilton.com this happened four to five times!

"Several people in the audience started booing," says a spy in attendance. "It was not pretty!"

"When the CD started skipping, she turned her back to the audience," says a gossip. "Then when it stopped, she turned around with this look on her face like she was gonna puke!!! I really felt bad for her. Then the effin thing started skipping really badly again!!! And then again and again. It was crazy."

Spears suffered another technical difficulty towards the end of her show.

The headset microphone broke!

"She was rolling on the ground dancing and her face microphone broke and was hanging down at her neck.. and she was embarrassed again!!! So she tried to push it back up and it went up to her forehead... and then back down to her chest. I couldn't believe with a 5 second show that the whole effin thing fell apart!! What are the odds of that shit???!!"

In other news, Page Six reports that the singer flipped out when her United Airlines jet didn't have the fine leather seats she wanted.

Spears' fellow passenger Tony Sanchez reported that Spears freaked, saying, "I don't want to fly on this plane. It hasn't got leather seats," and demanded that the crew let her disembark just minutes before takeoff. The captain eventually relented, and allowed the pop tart off the plane, much to the annoyance of other waiting passengers.
