Paris Hilton could do 10 days, will not have a cellmate?
Paris Hilton could serve 22 days, a spokesman for the L.A. County Sheriff’s office told The Post. "For every day you serve, you earn a day’s credit," said the spokesman. "So it’s likely she will serve only 22 to 23 days of her sentence," Sean Tabibian, said Hilton could see a faster release due to "overburdening," the Los Angeles county jail system . "Due to circumstances like overcrowding, they want to shuffle people who haven’t committed a violent crime or serious felony in and out quickly - and what she did wasn’t horrible," Tabibian said. "Based on my experience, the likely scenario is that she’ll get credit for good behavior and will likely serve under 10 days. I’ve had clients who get a 10-day sentence and don’t even end up going in or going in for a few hours. I’m sure she was told about the shortened terms, so this asking for a pardon from the Governor is ludicrous." Tabibian adds that Paris will not have a cellmate. "I can’t imagine for the life of me why the Sheriff’s department would put her in general population and ask for that kind of attention," he said. "If she so much as breaks a nail, her family will be all over them." Paris must report to jail June 5 Meanwhile, Paris Hilton has penned a steamy note "After reading the media's coverage of my court hearing, I feel the need to correct what I believe are misperceptions about me. I absolutely realize how serious driving under the influence is. I could not live with myself if anyone was injured or killed while I was driving while impaired. Clearly, no one should -- no matter how slightly. I am ready to face the consequences of violating probation. No one is above the law. I surely am not. I do not expect to be treated better than anyone else who violated probation. However, my hope is that I will not be treated worse." In other news CNN hates Paris Hilton. |
