Actress Tori Spelling has given birth to a boy.
Liam Aaron McDermott, who weighed 6lbs 6oz, was delivered via Caesarean
section at Los Angeles' Cedars Sinai hospital yesterday (13.03.07).
A representative for Tori and husband Dean McDermott said: "They're all
really happy and everybody's resting now. Tori and the baby are healthy."
The baby's middle name is a tribute to Tori's late father, TV producer Aaron
Spelling, who died last June.
Tori recently revealed she couldn't wait to give birth, saying: "I am ready
to meet my little man. I can't wait to be a mom and hold this little baby in
my arms."
The baby is the first for Spelling.
McDermott has a daughter and a son from a previous marriage. The actor had roles in the movies "Against the Ropes" and "Open Range."
The couple wed in May 2006 and star in the reality series "Tori & Dean: Inn Love," which premieres March 20 on the Oxygen network reports AP.
Tori Spelling, who gave birth to a boy Tuesday, is apparently patching up her strained relationship with her mother.
When, the 33-year-old actress welcomed 6-pound, 6-ounce Liam Aaron McDermott , her mother, Candy Spelling, was at the hospital, according to a story Wednesday on People magazine's Web site.
"Words can't describe the joy and elation I feel at this truly happy event," Candy Spelling was quoted as telling People. "I am looking forward to doting on my new little grandson and all the memorable fun that comes with it."
Over the weekend gossips claimed, Tori Spelling and her mother Candy are trying to repair their fractured
relationship.
The former 'Beverly Hills 90210' star and her mother stopped speaking after
the death of her father, Aaron Spelling, but hope to make peace in time for
the birth of Tori's first baby - a son - due in April.
Candy said: "We have been in touch with each other and are in the process of
communicating and working things out."
Tori's 28-year-old brother Randy said: "My sister and my mom have been
communicating for the past few weeks.
"They are going to be there for each other and the baby. My mom is having a
grandchild, and it puts things into perspective.
"You always have that motherly instinct. People can fight, but they love
each other."
Yesterday (12.03.07), Tori, 33, told the 'Today' show she is hoping to
reconcile with her mother.
Earlier this month, she and husband Dean McDermott opened their new bed and
breakfast for reality TV show 'Tori and Dean: Inn Love'
