Tom Cruise tells Katie Holmes to stay out of reality TV

Katie Holmes and Victoria Beckham, formerly known as Posh Spice of the Spice Girls, are almost as inseparable hip as Katie and her husband Tom Cruise. So since Victoria is going to be starring in her own reality show, it's only natural that Katie would be making some appearances, right? Not if Tom has anything to do with it.

A source close to Holmes told Life & Style Weekly that she is eager to work with Victoria on her new project. The tattler said, "Katie thinks this is a great break for Posh, and she'd love to be her sidekick on the show." And Katie also feels that the show will allow her improve her public image. Reveals the insider, "She's hoping to let the world see her as a happy wife and mother!"

Unfortunately Tom has gotten in the way of Katie's plans. Cruise reportedly explained his reasoning for disapproving of Holmes's participation in the show by referring to the classic comedy "I Love Lucy." A friend of the actor's said, "Tom's opinion is, 'Why would you want to be Ethel if Posh is Lucy?'" Katie replied back to her hubby, "You just don't want to be Fred!"
