Elizabeth Hurley marries Arun Nayar

What will the Brits talk about now? It's been the most buzzed about wedding in the UK for months and now Elizabeth Hurley is finally Arun Nayar's wife. The couple wed on Friday, a day before their publicly announced plans, in a civil ceremony at the Sudeley Castle in Winchcombe, England. They had another religious service in the same location on Saturday.

The couple and the wedding party wore Versace. Celebrity guests watching 41-year-old Hurley and 42-year-old Nayar exchange vows on Saturday included models Elle Macpherson and Eva Herzigova, Elton John and his husband David Furnish, actress Patsy Kensit and Valentino. An insider told People magazine that Elton gave Elizabeth away.

Rev. John Partington gave some details on the ceremony to People. He said, "They had a choice of using contemporary language or old-fashioned language and they have chosen the old-fashioned language." Still, Hurley opted not to include the section of the vows that indicated she would obey Nayar.

On Monday, Elizabeth and Arun arrived in Mumbai, India for the rest of their wedding festivities. They plan to participate in a six-day traditional celebration of their nuptials in accordance with Arun's Indian heritage. The pair are expected to marry for a third time at the Umaid Bhavan Palace in Jodphpur.
