Angelina Jolie brings Pax Thien home
Angelina Jolie has only been a mom to Pax Thien for a few days, but the 3-year-old is already a star. Exclusive photos of the Vietnamese child are published in this week's People magazine in a spread showing Pax with his new siblings: 2-year-old sister Zahara and 5-year-old brother Maddox. Brad Pitt and 10-month-old Shiloh stayed behind while Pitt filmed The Curious Case of Benjamin Button. His rep told People, "[Brad] has specific days on the movie that couldn't be changed or production would run over." Jolie was finally able to leave Vietnam with her new child on Wednesday after securing a passport for him. The family departed from Hanoi in a private jet. Pictures show Angelina carrying Pax onto the plane while a man (a bodyguard, perhaps?) carried a sleeping Maddox aboard. In her interview with People, Jolie said, "You can imagine what courage it takes to be in all new surroundings, with new people and a new language. He is very strong….It will take him a while to realize he has a family and that his new life is permanent and that it won't keep changing…We are slowly beginning to build his trust and bond, but it will feel complete only when we are all together." |
