Jessica Simpson wants to adopt

Pop beauty, Jessica Simpson wants to adopt.
The singer-and-actress wants to have a big family but fears she may not be
able to cope with childbirth more than once.
She told Britain's Star magazine: "I want to adopt before I actually have my
own kids. I want three kids - but I don't know if I can give birth three
times. I'll have to see how much pain is involved first time round!"

Jessica, who split from husband Nick Lachey in November 2005, insists she
has also been inspired to adopt by Angelina Jolie - who has two adopted
children, Maddox and Zahara.

She explained: "I think Angelina Jolie has done amazing things. The
international adoption rate has skyrocketed."

"Ever since I was a kid I said I wanted to save the world somehow,
I didn't know how. I think I'll end up doing things that can touch somebody
in some way that's good - like through orphanages."

Meanwhile, Jessica Simpson says seeing Nick Lachey with another woman after their split was painful reports PEOPLE.

"Oh, it hurt me," Simpson tells Elle in its March issue. "Two or three weeks later? Yeah, I'd say it kind of hurt me."

But Simpson, 26, says she's still in touch with Lachey, 33. "He's so much a part of my life, how could I not be? Any guy who's going to be with me from this day forward has to understand that."

Jessica Simpson also laughed off reports she has found love again.
The singer-turned-actress is said to be dating with US songwriter John Mayer, and the pair have been spotted out together on several occasions.

Jessica insists she is not romantically involved with anybody and is convinced her fame frightens off potential suitors.

She told Britain's Star magazine: "Do I have a new love in my life? I wish I was in love! Everybody needs to be in love.
"I think I'm too hard to be in love with. It ends up on the cover of every magazine! I scare people away."
