'Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows' hits stores on July 21
The final Harry Potter book will hit stores on July 21.
"J.K. Rowling finished writing ‘Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows' on 11 Jan 2007," at Edinburgh's five-star Balmoral Hotel reports AP "I can confirm she did write some of the book at the Balmoral last month and did complete the book at that hotel," the author's spokeswoman, Nicky Stonehill, said. The hotel said it does not encourage guests to write on hotel property, but Rowling is a special case. "Obviously this is quite a unique case," hotel spokeswoman Jessica Trotter said. "We're honored and flattered she chose the Balmoral as surroundings to do her writing." The Potter books have sold 325 million copies worldwide, have been translated into 64 languages and spawned five blockbuster movies. This is the 10th anniversary of the first book of the hugely successful series being published. Wayne Winstone, children's manager for Waterstone's book store, said: "Not only will this be the biggest selling book, it will also break all records to become the fastest selling book of all time." "There are not many people who want to wait to find out what happens and risk hearing the news from their friends." |
