Paris Hilton is being slammed after stiffing a cafe in Australia The staff at Sloanes Cafe in the trendy Paddington shopping district were left scratching their heads when Hilton walked out without paying a $9.80 drinks tab, the Sydney Morning Herald reported Monday. "She's got bucketloads of money and she didn't pay for her drinks," waitress Jo Pfahl told the paper. Hilton, in Australia to help promote a new beer, stopped at the cafe on Sunday with her friend Kim Kardashian. "(Hilton) had a little chat with a waiter up front, then they all got up and walked out without paying," Pfahl said. While she couldn't be bothered to pay for lunch, Paris that same afternoon spent $2,200 at nearby Arianne Lingerie for stockings, jewelry, a camisole and bra. Paris has assets of about $30 million, while the Hilton-family empire has been valued at $1 billion, according to some estimates. |
