Hugh Grant may not attend Elizabeth Hurley's wedding

Elizabeth Hurley and Hugh Grant have been friends for years. When they dates, she famously stuck by his side when he was arrested for picking up a prostitute. But now that Elizabeth's big wedding day is approaching, Hugh may fly the coop. And the rumor is it's his girlfriend, Jemima Khan who is behind the possible betrayal.

Elizabeth is expected to wed her longtime love, Arun Nayar on March 3 in Gloucestershire. There will then be a 5-day party to celebrate the wedding in India. An insider told Britain's Daily Mail that Khan said she would "rather eat her left arm" than be present for Hurley's wedding. But if Grant, who may even be the best man, does not attend, could it end a decades-long friendship? One source thinks not. "Elizabeth has spent New Year in India making sure all the plans are in place," says the mole. "She'll be pretty miffed if Hugh doesn't come because they are still great friends, but I'm sure she's mature enough to understand the situation."

The reason for the bad blood between Jemima and Elizabeth stems back to an incident in which Jemima was said to have criticized Elizabeth. An another occasion the rivalry grew even bigger when Jemima caught Elizabeth sucking on Hugh's fingers at a party. A pal states that whether or not Hugh attends the wedding, it's a slim chance that Jemima will be there. The source says, "Elizabeth and Jemima hate each other so there's no way Jemima would go. Hugh has said he may still go but the chances are it won't be worth the headache. Jemima has made it absolutely clear she does not want him to attend and Hugh will pretty much do anything to keep the peace."
