Nicole Richie was doped up at the time of her arrest

Though Nicole Richie is a recovering heroin addict, that hasn't stopped the starlet from dabbling in less hardcore drugs. Richie is said to have been under the influence of two different substances at the time of her DUI arrest on Monday morning,

California Highway Patrol Sgt. Mark Garrett revealed to the Los Angeles Times that Nicole admitted to having smoked marijuana and taken Vicodin, a painkiller, that night.

Nicole's rep released the following statement regarding the incident, "This is a difficult time for Nicole but she is prepared to accept whatever responsibility is appropriate. She intends to continue with her career and will deal with any other issues that need to be addressed."

It is currently unknown whether Richie's arrest violates the terms of her probation for her 2003 arrest for heroin possession.
