Details on Tony Parker's proposal to Eva Longoria

Do you want to feel like one of Eva Longoria's closest friends? Here's your chance. The actress recently spilled the details on the romantic proposal she received from her fiancé, San Antonio Spurs point guard, Tony Parker on November 30.

Parker surprised Longoria that morning, having covered her home with rose petals and candles. She said to People magazine, "I was heading home from a long day on the set. He had been playing in Utah, so I was just shocked to see him in L.A. I thought it was so weird, sort of, 'Why are you here? What's going on? Oh my God! It's happening!' "

Tony, who says, "I'm a traditional guy," had spoken with Longoria's family before he asked for her hand in marriage. He proposed down on one knee, presenting Eva with a more than 5 carat emerald-cut diamond ring. Eva was stirred by the gesture. She said, "I cried my eyes out. I was mostly touched by how nervous he was. I was like, 'You know I'm going to say yes. Why are you so nervous?' But I guess every man gets nervous at that point."

Parker, 24, had contemplated popping the question before. He says, "I was going to ask her in France. But obviously it wasn't the right time." Of this attempt, he said, "I knew it was right. We've been talking for months about it, and I just knew. It was time."
