Nicole Richie and Rachel Zoe at war

Since Britney Spears attached herself to Paris Hilton, there hasn't been much news in the way of her split with Kevin Federline. To take the place of their nasty break up, we've instead been treated to the tale of Nicole Richie and her stylist, Rachel Zoe's war of words - and it's getting ugly!

Last week, Richie's camp leaked the news to Us Weekly that the starlet had fired Zoe she "wanted to surround herself with positive people and influences," implying that Zoe was a negative influence. Rachel's pals ran to Page Six to hit back at the allegation. One said, "Give me a break. Rachel was acting as a concerned friend and voiced her concerns to Nicole about her lifestyle, and Nicole didn't want to hear it."

Then 35-year-old Rachel made a statement to TMZ.com about her professional split from 25-year-old Nicole. She said, "There has been a lot of speculation as to the cause of my parting with client Nicole Richie. The tabloid reports have no merit. After trying to be a good friend to Nicole, we made a mutual decision to sever our working relationship. Changes are inevitable in any business relationship….I have nothing but love for Nicole and wish her only health and happiness."

The gossip site claims, "Rachel, who had worked with Nicole for more than three years, had become increasingly unhappy with bad choices Nicole was making in her life, and simply wanted to be finished with the whole thing."

Now Nicole has brought her growing feud to a whole new level. She posted a not-so-blind item on her myspace blog that read, "What 35 year old raisin face whispers her order of 3 peices [sic] of asparagus for dinner at Chateau everynight [sic], and hides her deathly disorder by pointing the finger at me, and used her last paycheck I wrote her to pay for a publisist [sic] instead of a nutritionist? HINT: Her nickname is lettucecup..."

The item is clearly a slight at Zoe who is known for her skinny frame and weathered skin.
