Britney Spears may move to NYC.

When Britney Spears made her first appearance as a single woman again, she chose to do so in New York. Sources are saying that the choice wasn't a coincidence and that Spears is planning to make a new life for herself in the city that never sleeps.

According to gossip website FemaleFirst, Britney is anxious to get away from the Mallibu home she shared with Kevin Federline as it is the source of many bad memories. Living in New York would allow Britney to start fresh and also to be close to her older brother, Bryan, who calls NYC home.

A friend of Spears is quoted as saying, "Everywhere Britney has been in New York, people have been really nice to her. It's the kind of place she needs right now. She wants to buy somewhere to raise her family, a place that's kid-friendly. She wants to meet a nice guy and she doesn't want to be isolated in some mansion. She's done that already and it's not good for her."
