Britney and Madonna reunite over Britney's divorce

Madonna and Britney Spears reportedly fell out after Britney decided not to pursue Madonna's religion, Kabbalah, any further. But now the former friends may be in for a reunion. According to Life & Style Weekly, the pair has reconnected over Spears's decision to file for divorce from her husband of two years, Kevin Federline.

An insider tells L&S that Spears called Madonna's publicist, Liz Rosenberg, just before news of the split went public. Britney had lost Madonna's phone number and didn't have another way to get in touch with her. The source claims Britney "just called [Liz's office] and said, 'Can you tell Madonna I called to let her know I filed for divorce?'"

When Rosenberg's receptionist told Britney she was sorry about the news, the pop star responded, "Thank you, but she'll be thrilled. I wanted to let her know before it hit, but I didn't have her number in London and wasn't sure how to reach her if she was in New York."

The tattler claims that Madonna responded well when she was given the message and Britney's phone number. The Material Mom reportedly said, "Great. I have this number. This is good news."
