Tom Cruise's children think
The 'Top Gun' star's two adopted children - Connor, 11, and Isabella, 13, from his marriage to Nicole Kidman - were apparently so concerned at the length of Katie Holmes' engagement to their dad that they called their mum for advice. A source told Britain's Grazia magazine: "The children want their father to be happy and told Nicole nothing had been firmly set up." It has widely been reported that Katie - who gave birth to her and Tom's first daughter, Suri, together in April - is nervous about marrying Tom as her devout Catholic parents do not approve of his Scientology beliefs. When Connor and Isabella told their mother of their worries she agreed to call Katie. The source added: "Nicole usually minds her own business, but she made an exception in this case. She has urged Katie to go ahead with the wedding." Nicole - who lives with her new husband Keith Urban in Nashville, Tennessee - has not seen her children for some time as they have been living with their father throughout the summer. Connor and Isabella can now rest their pretty heads, Katie Holmes has bought her wedding dress for her upcoming marriage to Tom Cruise. Holmes spent last week in Paris, France, with new pal Victoria Beckham on a "girlie city break", to give the stars a break from their respective children and partners. The Batman Begins beauty and Beckham partied with Chanel designer Karl Lagerfield, with Holmes declaring she had looked at Chanel wedding dresses. Holmes and Cruise are rumored planning to wed next month - 17 months after the Mission: Impossible actor proposed to Holmes at the top of the Eiffel Tower in Paris and seven months after the birth of their daughter Suri. Holmes enthuses: "I already have my dress." |
