Nicole Richie gets over one ex with help from another

Brody Jenner may have told People magazine that he and Nicole Richie are still on good terms after their abrupt break up, but it didn’t look that way last week at a Hollywood party. Richie reportedly had a bit of a breakdown when she ran into Brody and his new girlfriend, “The Hills� star, Lauren Conrad (L.C.) at an event for Target.

The party took place last Thursday at Area and Richie’s ex-fiancé, DJ AM was spinning. Richie was handling the run in with both of her exes well, but didn’t feel the same way about Lauren. A spy on the scene said Conrad was dishing out “in-your-face friendliness� to Richie, who was unable to control her discomfort with the situation.

The source claims Nicole began to cry and told a friend, “L.C. just keeps saying hi to me over and over again. I can’t stand it! It's like she’s rubbing it in my face. Just leave me alone!� Luckily for Nicole, DJ AM was able to comfort her. The witness said, “Nic went up to [AM’s] booth and got a big hug. They whispered to each other, and DJ AM was able to turn her night around. By the time she stepped away from his DJ booth back into the crowded club, she was all smiles again.�
