Paris Hilton and Nicole Richie are friends again.
'The Simple Life' stars were filmed talking on the telephone on Friday (22.09.06) - the first time they have spoken since they fell out over a year ago.
Paris called Nicole to wish her a belated happy 25th birthday, according to celebrity gossip blog x17online.

According to sources spilling to USmagazine, before the public lovefest, Paris and Nicole had one, big final showdown at the Teen Vogue Young Hollywood party on September 20th in L.A. According to a party witness, "Nicole was was the center of attention with a big birthday cake and sparklers. All her friends were singing ‘Happy Birthday.’ When Paris saw Nicole’s birthday celebration in full swing, she went to the dance floor where she had a pal request her 'Stars are Blind' song to blatantly interrupt the ‘Happy Birthday’ chorus.�

Nicole took the call while she was filling her car with gas and was so over-excited about talking to her friend that she dropped her phone.
It is not known what came between the best friends, who have known each other since they were children, but Paris and Nicole seemed happy to be speaking to each other again.
Both girls have denied the rumors that they fell out because Nicole showed Paris's sex video 'One Night in Paris' at a party.
It was also rumored that the pair argued after Nicole demanded more money to appear on their hit US TV show 'The Simple Life'.
Paris, who believed herself to be the star, was furious when TV bosses told her the show was only popular with both of them in it together.
The socialites are both signed up for a fifth series of the show and have been told they must work together.

Meanwhile, Paris Hilton has been charged in Los Angeles with drinking and driving.
The hotel heiress-turned-singer was stopped in her car earlier this month. Police said her blood-alcohol level was 0.08%, the minimum to warrant arrest.
