Paris Hilton is officially the most overrated celebrity in the world reports TMZ.
The hotel heiress has made it into the 2007 Guinness Book of World Records - not for her business ventures, singing or acting - but because the public think she is famous for no apparent reason.

A spokesman for the world famous book revealed the 25-year-old beauty, who recently released her debit single 'Stars Are Blind', topped the poll after magazine readers voted for their least favorite and most overrated celebrity.
Other stars to make the list reportedly include Britney Spears and actor Tom Cruise.
Madonna also broke records this year for being the highest earning female singer, while former WWE wrestler The Rock has made it into the book as the highest paid actor in a debut role for 'The Scorpion King'.

In other news, Paris Hilton says she knows what people want, and she's about to give it to them writes Showbuzz.

Paris releases her debut album, "Paris," on Aug. 22. "It's a very fun album, it's very eclectic mix of music," Hilton tells CBS News correspondent Drew Levinson. "I know music very well, and what people like. I want to incorporate hip-hop, rock, pop and dance all into one album."

"I think everyone will enjoy it," Hilton says.

"I've been playing the piano and violin since I was six years old, and singing," she says. "Plus I travel all over the world and I go to the best nightclubs and hear the best DJs in the world and know what's going on in the music scene."

Paris greeted fans in Miami Tuesday night as they lined up to be the first to grab her self-titled album, "Paris". Her single, "Stars are Blind," has already proven to be a hit as it climbs the Billboard Dance Music Charts.
