Madonna faces arrest over her controversial mock crucifixion.
The 'Hung Up' singer could be arrested when she performs in Germany on Sunday (20.08.06) if she goes ahead with the much-criticized routine.
Dusseldorf police have warned the singer that she could be in breach of their "insulting religious beliefs" law and they will be in the crowd ready to act if she attempts the stunt.
Now, according to a report in The Sun, UK, Russian mobsters are plotting to kidnap Madonna and her two kids. The threat came as the U.S. pop icon prepared for her upcoming tour stop in Moscow next month reports Monster and Critics.
Madonna took the reported threats against her and children, Lourdes and Rocco, in stride but Husband Guy Richie, has requested increased security for his rich wife.
The alleged kidnap plot may have stemmed from her controversial mock crucifixion.
In other news, Madonna called husband Guy Ritchie the "love" of her "life" during an
emotional speech at her birthday party.
The 'Hung Up' singer made the loving tribute in front of more than 100
friends, rubbishing claims their marriage has been in trouble reports FemaleFirst.
Madonna, who turned 48 on Tuesday (15.08.06), said: "I care for Guy deeply
and he is the love of my life. He has changed my life for the better since I
met him. I can only thank him for all his support."
A friend at the party, which took place at trendy London bar Lounge Lover,
said: "It was incredible to hear her open up and let people know such
personal feelings. Guy was beaming and it's clear they're very much in
love."
When she finished speaking, Madonna smiled at 37-year-old Guy and fought
back tears as their friends began to applaud.
Rumors that the couple were having marital problems surfaced several months
ago after Madonna told an MTV documentary: "I got married for all the wrong
reasons. My husband did not turn out to be everything I imagined him to be."
