Back in March, Mischa Barton was rumored to have split from her greasy musician boyfriend, Cisco Adler. Unfortunately, the rumors proved false as the couple was soon spotted together. But could their relationship be over for real this time?

Life & Style Weekly is reporting that Adler recently kicked Barton to the curb in her time of need. Her character Marissa having just been axed from “The OC,� Mischa “thought…she needed something positive, and an engagement would be the solution," an insider for L&S said. "But Cisco doesn't agree.� The Whitestarr frontman decided it was time to cut his losses and broke up with Mischa.

The source says, “[Cisco]'s upset, but he's sticking to his decision." Upset though he may be, Adler isn’t letting his sadness keep him from enjoying his new single life. A witness claimed to have seen him hooking up with a new gal late last month outside LA’s W hotel. Meanwhile, Mischa’s main companion as she films a movie in Toronto has been her injured puppy, Ziggy.
