Ryan Reynolds “oughta know� not to break up with Alanis Morissette. Still, a source close to the couple has announced their split to People magazine. No details were given as to the reason for the break up.

Reynolds and Morrissette have been engaged for two years and dating for four years. The fellow Canadian teen stars - he was on “Fifteen� and she was on “You Can’t Do That on Television� - met at a birthday party for Drew Barrymore in 2002.

Back in 2005, Alanis told People, "[Ryan]'s just such a supportive creature. I feel so loved by him, in a trampoline kind of way. He's always very happy for me." When asked about their wedding plans, Ryan said, "We feel like we're already married."
