'Charlie's Angels' creator Aaron Spelling has been buried in an intimate
ceremony in Los Angeles.
The legendary TV producer - who died at his Beverly Hills home on Friday
(23.06.06) after having a stroke the weekend before - was laid to rest at
the Hillside Memorial Park in west Los Angeles on Sunday (25.06.06).
His publicist, Kevin Sasaki, said: "It was just a small, private affair.
"A bigger, public memorial is planned for later this month in Los Angeles,
but the location decision has not been finalized.
"There is a possibility that it may happen at the Television Academy."
In a statement, the Spelling family thanked the public for their support and
messages of condolence, saying: "Our extreme sadness and grief is comforted
by the overwhelming number of heartfelt calls we have received.
"We are truly grateful for the outpouring of love and sympathy expressed by
so many friends and colleagues who knew Aaron."
Meanwhile, fans have placed flowers on the producer's star on the Hollywood
Walk of Fame.
Spelling, 83, was the brains behind a host of classic TV shows, including
'Dynasty', 'T.J. Hooker' and 'Hart to Hart'.
He was also responsible for 90s cult hits 'Beverly Hills 90210' and 'Melrose
Place'.
In other news, according to reports out of LA, Tori Spelling made up with her TV legend father before he died.
Tori - who shot to fame in another of her father's creations, 'Beverley Hills 90210' - told America's People magazine: "I'm grateful I recently had the opportunity to reconcile with my father and most grateful we had the chance to tell each other we loved one another before he passed away."
She added: "It's a true blessing to have had a parent that loved me unconditionally. He had a heart as big as his talent and today, along with many others, I mourn his loss. He was a great man and even better father."
The pair - and her mother, Candy - stopped talking to each other earlier this year after she mocked their "eBay room" - a room in their home dedicated to the internet auction site.
At the time, a friend of the 32-year-old actress told America's New York Post newspaper: "There was a scene in the first episode of her new show, 'So noTORIous,' in which she makes fun of it.
"When Candy saw the episode, she threatened Tori and said she was going to sue her."
