Paris Hilton dumps Stavros Niarchos III

Are there any more available Greek shipping heirs in LA? Paris Hilton is on the look out for a new man. The celebutante has split with her boyfriend of eight months, Stavros Niarchos III. Hilton's rep, Elliot Mintz told People magazine, "It is not my policy to comment on my client's private life. But I would not offer a denial."

Sources claim that the parties Paris threw last month for Stavros’s 21st birthday were the final straw. “They really made her realize she wanted to move on," an insider told Star magazine. It may seem surprising that the parties changed Paris’s mind, since witnesses claim the couple was very affectionate at Hilton’s LA bash for Niarchos. But, in the end, it was Stavros’s immaturity - he’s four years younger than her - and self-centeredness that really got to Paris.

Though Hilton allegedly dropped $250 K on Niarchos’s birthday festivities, "Stavros never so much as tipped a valet whenever they went out, " a source claims. While he is supposed to be worth hundreds of millions, the heir continued to make his girlfriend pay, even when one of his friends damaged the door to a private jet. The pal kicked the door in, leaving Hilton with a $20,000 bill. "The plane was grounded for 2 days while it was repaired. And Stavros never offered to pay for the damages. It was embarrassing for her, " another Star insider said.

When Hilton realized that she and Niarchos were on different paths, she knew it was time to break up. Paris’s career is the most important thing to her right now and Stavros doesn’t understand that. "Stavros is putting a lot of pressure on her to spend the summer in Europe with his friends. She wants work to be her priority right now. Not a boy," the source said. “This is about to be the time of her life, touring, singing on stage. Imagine the men she'll meet! The last thing she wants is a boyfriend to tie her down. She wants to be free to date and do whatever she wants."
