Nick Lachey says his new album is about his estranged wife Jessica Simpson!

However, Nick insists the record is not an attack on Jessica and is inspired
by his love for her.

He confessed to America's People magazine: "It's not in any way vindictive
or an assault on her. In a lot of ways, it's more of an assault on me."

Lachey, who says his biggest fear is being alone, recently admitted he has
become guarded since separating from Jessica and "can't be as open with
people because I've been burned."
Simpson, 25, filed for divorce last December after three years of marriage.

Meanwhile, According to US WEEKLY, the same week Nick Lachey’s bombshell interview on his split from Jessica Simpson ran in Rolling Stone, he dropped by her new mansion for the pair’s first post-breakup “date.� Sources say Simpson wanted to talk to Lachey about his loose-lipped ways. Says a Simpson pal, “They promised each other they wouldn’t kiss-and-tell.�
