If the end of last month’s Olympics left you pining for more figure skating, you may be in luck. Cameron Diaz and Justin Timberlake are planning to bring the drama of Olympic figure skating to the big screen, a studio exec told ContactMusic.com.

"Justin is a speed-skater and Cameron is a figure-skater, and the whole thing is set at the Olympic Games in the Olympic Village," the source said. Perhaps these two are fans of the 1992 film, The Cutting Edge, which featured a similar story line in which a pairs figure skater gets matched up with a former hockey player as her partner. The movie was just given a sequel on ABC Family called, The Cutting Edge: Going for the Gold. (That movie airs tonight at 8:00 pm, EST - if you’re interested).

But even though they would basically be remaking a cult classic, Cameron and Justin are still eager to go ahead with the skating film. The source said, "Cameron and Justin have been working on a number of ideas together and this is one they are seriously considering taking it on themselves."
