Jack Black elopes

Though he’s often said he is skeptical about marriage, actor Jack Black tied the knot recently. He and his girlfriend of nearly one year, Tanya Haden, eloped in a ceremony in California’s Big Sur.

Black has known Haden since high school, but they only began seeing each other after reconnecting last spring. Still, Jack knew there was something special about Tanya. "I had a crush on her…She was too pretty, and I was scared to talk to her," Black said in GQ, referring to his high school feelings for Haden.

Tanya’s father, jazz bassist Charlie Haden told People magazine about his reaction to the surprise nuptials: "They love each other very much. We're thrilled."
