Are Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes having second thoughts?

Katie Holmes and Tom Cruise may never experience wedded bliss. It seems that the lovey-dovey couple had a holiday experience similar to the one depicted in The Family Stone, as Cruise was not exactly accepted by his potential in-laws.

According to Life & Style Weekly, Cruise hoped to ease the tension that had been building between him and Katie’s father, Martin. Mr. Holmes was particularly upset to hear that his daughter had become pregnant out of wedlock and reportedly told Cruise that he was “no good.� Unfortunately for the lovebirds, the visit didn’t go as well as they had hoped it might. A close friend told Life & Style, “Tom and Katie ended up leaving - three days earlier than planned. Katie was in tears, but that’s standard when it comes to dealing with family matters and Tom.�

The trouble between the Holmeses and Mr. Cruise may prove to be too much for Katie to bear. Another friend revealed to the magazine, “My honest opinion is that the wedding’s not going to happen. Neither one of them seems as enthusiastic as they once did about marriage.�
