Madonna produces gay soap opera |

Madonna has long been a supporter of the gay community. She featured homosexual scenes, themes and situations in her music videos long before shows like "Will and Grace" and "Queer as Folk" were created. Now, through her company, Maverick TV, Madonna is attempting to start a gay soap opera of her own. The show, tentatively titled "San Rafael," "will follow the lives, loves and fights of a group of gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgendered residents sharing an apartment complex," reports FilmStew.com. Maverick TV has partnered with Logo, MTV's recently-launched gay network, to create the show. No word on whether or not the Material Girl herself will make any appearances.
