Kenny Chesney uses a lot of the space in his current People magazine cover story to mention how hurtful the post-Renee rumors that he's gay have been. The cover photo shows him wearing a delicate silver bracelet and a sleeveless T-shirt with a little white line of fuzzy froufrouness at the collar. His lips shine with a semi-pink gloss.
An inside photo shows Kenny in the kitchen of his mommy's house, where he went for refuge after Renee divorced him for fraud. In the company of his grandma, aunt and mother, Kenny is holding a banana and wearing draw-string striped pants that leave his midriff showing below a shirt cut so as not to meet the top of the pants. In another photo, Kenny is seen showing off his arm muscles in a sort of Jack McFarland pose with brightly-colored Hawaiian lei around his neck. Then there's a pic of him holding Renee, in which the two almost look like sisters.
The article starts with a mention of Kenny's 29-inch waist and notes that he follows a rigorous diet and works out faithfully. Questioned about his recent 'Somewhere in the Sun' tour, in which he journeyed with lots of males, Kenny says: "It was a lot like it felt in the {high school football} locker room."
